The ONTARGET® Trial Programme,1-4 which consists of the ONTARGET® and parallel TRANSCEND® studies, was designed to address several key questions that remained unanswered following the Heart Outcomes Prevention Evaluation (HOPE) trial5 with the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor ramipril.
ONTARGET® Trial Design
The ONTARGET® Trial is designed to compare the effects of telmisartan plus ramipril combination therapy with the respective monotherapies on cardiovascular events in patients at high risk. Find out more here.
